A shooting incident occurred sometime July 4th evening or early July 5th morning behind our property along Gerard Road involving our hay bale wall protest regarding the gun range. On the way to work on the morning of 7/5, we noticed one of the signs included in our hay bale sound wall protest appeared to be shot at. Close up it was very obvious that someone had. We immediately called for the police and a report was filed. The officer confirmed that the shots were from a shotgun. We also noticed the shotgun blasts traveled into and through our fencing along the back fence. Luckily our dogs were in the house with us and no one was hurt. As block captains for the civic, we also filed a report with COPE. We are now concerned. 'Concerned Yaphank Resident'
